MuLab 4 Docs About These Docs

View

First of all, note that these docs don't explain each and every detail of MuLab 4. MuLab 4 is vast! Especially when you start combining everything!

MuLab is like a set of construction tools, and these docs will tell you the essentials about these tools. But it's up to you to explore them, use them, combine them, and be creative with them so to build fantastic great musics that will move heart, body & soul!

These docs only document the essentials that are really necessary to know so to get the view. Then you'll discover many many more things in MuLab 4 by yourself, that should just be a logical and self-explanatory adventure. And the more light these docs, the less boring reading time, the more fun time remains for being creative!

If you think there is really something essential missing in these docs, let us know via , and we'll improve the docs where necessary.

And for the more practical tutorials, check out the MuTools movies on YouTube (aka the Muvies) by clicking here.

Enjoy Creating Music!

Versions

MuLab 4 comes in 3 versions: MuLab Free, MuLab XT and MuLab UL.
Besides these differences, all MuLab versions work in exactly the same way, and so these docs apply to all versions.

OSX Specific Notes

These docs are written from a Windows user view. Not because MuTools prefers Windows, no, it's just that repeating the platform-specific differences all the time would be boring for you as well for me. So that's why the following is mentioned only here and on the User Interface page:

Whenever this user guide mentions right-click, do [Ctrl]+click.
Note that a right-click might work too, it depends on your OSX setup.

Whenever this user guide mentions [Ctrl]+click, do [Apple]+click.

Whenever this user guide mentions [Ctrl]+key, do [Apple]+key.
