The Focused Module Panel shows which module is taking MIDI input.
While you're creating music, MuLab will automatically focus the most relevant module.
But when need you can also drag-drop modules on the Focused Module Panel to change MIDI focus specifically.
Why would you need to do that?
Well imagine you're playing an audio file thru a ring modulator.
Normally only synths get MIDI focus, so selecting this ring modulator won't automatically shift MIDI focus.
Now you can focus the oscillator in the ring modulator and play it from the keyboard while the audio file is streaming thru it.
At the same time, the Focused Module Panel functions as a virtual keyboard so you can always play the focused module even if no MIDI keyboard is available
To hide the keyboard, right-click it -> Hide Docked Keyboard. To re-show the keyboard, right-click the background/border of the panel (i.e. not the display as that has its own context menu) and choose Show Docked Keyboard.
